COERR Mae Sot Organized Training of Trainers on Organic Agriculture at Mae La Camp

   เIn preparation for future repatriation to homeland, COERR Mae Sot organized Training of Trainers on Organic Agriculture in Ban Mae La camp in November and December 2017 and follow-up farm activities in February 2018.

   The first TOT training course was held during November 13-17, 2017 with 25 participants, 16 female and 9 male with the following topics:
      - Ecological system
      - Plant structure
      - Soil
      - Plant Nutrition
      - Weather/climate for farming and
      - Principles of Organic Farming

   The courses involve Basic Organic Agriculture and document management in the office. The trainees were expected to be able to practice and to transfer their knowledge to other farmers in their community. In addition, they should be able to make household record of their own farm production.

    

    

    

The first TOT course was held in November 2017

   The second TOT Training course on Organic Agriculture was organized during December 14-18, 2017 in the following topic:
      - Soil improvement
      - Pest control in organic farming
      - Making pest repellent substance from material available in local area
      - Seeds selection and development of plant breeding
      - Organic animal raising
      - Introduction to organic farming

    

    

The second TOT course in December 2017

   Later in February 2018, Follow-up activity was made to visit organic farming of 5 pilot families to provide necessary advice:
      - 2 families raising pigs and growing vegetables
      - 1 family raising goats and growing vegetables
      - 1 family raising rabbit and growing vegetables
      - 1 family raising eel and growing vegetables.
